Coming back from a hike, a coffee on the terrace, a good meal and an evening that winds down in a wholly relaxed way. That is exactly how a break at the Metzgerwirt feels.

When we took over the Metzgerwirt, one thing was immediately clear to us: we want to preserve what makes this house special – and at the same time go our own way.
We are Hannah & Viki and run the Metzgerwirt together. For us, being a host means being there in person, taking time and giving our guests the feeling of being truly welcome.
We don’t want to be a hotel like any other. We want to create a place you remember. For the food. For the people. For the little things. And above all for the feeling of having been a little bit at home here.

The Metzgerwirt lies in St. Veit im Pongau – a climatic health resort in the heart of the Salzburg region.
Hiking trails, mountains and nature wait right on the doorstep. On foot, by e-bike or simply strolling through the village: here there is plenty of room to clear your head.
